Our
Halal Certification is issued by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia “JAKIM”) which is responsible for policies pertaining to the development and advancement of Islamic affairs in Malaysia
which include ensuring that food products follow the laws laid down by Islam.
Halal food means food permitted under the Islamic Law (a law based on the al-Quran, al-Hadith, Ijma' (consensus) and Qiyas (deduction of analogy) according to the Syafei or any one of the Hanafi, Maliki or Hanbali School of Thought or
fatawa approved by the relevant Islamic Authority) and which fulfil the following conditions:-
- The food or its ingredients do not contain any components or products of animals that are not Halal to Muslims according to the Syariah Law or animals which are not slaughtered according to the Syariah Law.
- The food does not contain any ingredients that are considered najis (filthy) according to the Syariah Law.
- It is not prepared, processed or manufactured using equipment that is contaminated with things that are considered najis according to the Syariah Law.
